The Original Sims

Hats off and all other salutations to the BBC NI Blast Team - Emma John Emma and Caroline for an impressive start to the Blast Festival in Belfast.  I’ve just come  back from the site at Customs House Square with that middle aged feeling "We didn’t have that sort of thing when I was young."  Of course we didn;t have the technology in the first place and the BBC was some distant organisation that fed pictures into our homes.

There is many a thing thre that the average broadcaster like The Truck run by the North Eastern Education and Library Board.  The Blast truck itself is an impressive bit of design and engineering too.

They’ll all be there until late on Saturday night when the event finished with a concert Oppenheimer, The Jane Bradfords and Superfreakz with support from some new young bands playing.

About MeJune 26, 2007 1:42 pm

A couple of months ago I found some radio programmes I had produced in the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum My work in a museum? Then this morning an invitation the British Library for this blog to be part of www.webarchive.org.uk (OK, not a museum but allow me something for continuity …)

"The British Library is building a collection of blogs. This collection will form part of the UK Web Archiving Consortium (UKWAC) initiative to archive websites of research interest.  Please visit www.webarchive.org.uk  if you wish to see the current online archive which is publicly accessible.

We would like to invite you to have your site included in this important collection for Internet research"

Better start blogging seriously again, then.
